Another 4 metre day at Blithfield! Wind very gusty. 4m underpowered in lulls but fine in gusts. Should probably have tried 4.7m with loads of downhaul, but with the 90 litre board and the very rough water state, 4 m was plenty once the board was up and running.

Tried hard to remember what I had learnt on Jem Hall clinic in June. It all seems to work if you apply it. Overhand grip with front hand back near harness lines works well for me

Wind picked up a notch and for a while 4 m was fully powered all the time. Some good runs with half decent chop hops and carving about on the swells. Eventually became overpowered / knackered, so came in to put on more downhaul. Of course the wind dropped back a touch, but too tired to try another sail so just enjoyed the gusts in the sunshine.

An excellent summer session, very comfortable in a winter wetsuit.
